Italy China Foundation presents its new annual report “China 2017. Scenarios and perspectives for enterprises”. It is a predictive report which gather together researches, risk analysis, and short- and medium-term predictions about China. The report is conceived and written by Alberto Rossi and Filippo Fasulo, members of CeSIF, the center for business and economic research of the Italy China Foundation.
On 19th May 2017, Cesare Romiti, President of the Italy China Foundation, and Luciano Cenedese, Head of UniCredit International Center Italy, opened the presentation ceremony of the Annual Report 8th Edition at UniCredit Tower Hall in Milan. The speakers were: Alberto Rossi, Marketing Manager of the Italy China Foundation and Analyst CeSIF; Filippo Fasulo, Scientific Coordinator CeSIF; Renzo Cavalieri, Of Counsel BonelliErede; Antonella Bertossi, Marketing Sales Manager Global Blue Italia; Marco Guazzoni, Global R&D Director Vibram; Stefano Scarsciotti, CEO E-Marco Polo S.p.A. - Cremonini Group.
Divided into eight sections, this 486-page edition includes 366 graphs and 65 charts. The first four sections consider a risk analysis on China from different points of view, that is, politics, macroeconomics, and business environment. The fifth section examines sectoral opportunities and the main consequences for foreign enterprises in China, referring in particular to Italian ones. Specifically, the report focuses on 11 different sectors: food, healthcare, retail,luxury goods, clean energy technologies, environment, chemistry, machinery, automotive, media and entertainment, furnishings. The sixth chapter analyses the appeal of all the 31 Chinese provinces, while the seventh illustrates the opportunities available in Italy: Chinese tourism and shopping, investments, incoming Chinese students. The last part shows provincial data with predictions for the next five years (2017-2021).
