Zhongguancun Forum 2021, registrations within next July 31

The activities of the Zhongguancun Forum - the main international collaboration platform, promoted by China, on the topics of science, innovation and new technologies - are restarting. The thirteenth edition is scheduled in Beijing in October 2021, organized by SPICI - Society for Innovation, Cooperation and Internationalization and International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN), in collaboration with the Italy China Foundation and InnovUp.

The Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum), sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and the Government of Beijing Municipality, is the main and most important international collaboration platform, promoted by China , on the themes of science, innovation and new technologies, which aims to promote the exchange of knowledge, talents and skills, through thematic seminars and networking moments, which involve the most important universities, as well as centers of Chinese and international research, companies, experts, institutions and associations operating in the various sectors of research and innovation.

Now in its thirteenth edition, the program in Europe is coordinated by SPICI srl - Society for Innovation, Cooperation and Internationalization and by the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN), in partnership with InnovUp - the association representing the Italian ecosystem of innovation - and the Italy China Foundation, and includes a competition, the "100 Best Industrial Innovations For International Technology Transfer", which sees the participation of numerous SMEs, startups and innovative spinoffs from Italy, Israel, the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, etc., whose projects will be evaluated by sector experts.

To promote Italian participation in the next edition of the ZGC Forum, SPICI and InnovUp launch a call for innovative SMEs, startups and spinoffs, whose activities are related to one or more of the following sectors: New Generation ICT, Intelligent Manufacturing, Modern Agriculture , New Materials, Biotechnology & Innovative Medicine, High-end Medical Device, Smart Transportation, High-end Equipment, Environmental Protection & Sustainable Development, New Energy.

As many as 100 projects that, following the evaluation, will be selected (10 for each sectoral area) and which will be given the opportunity to present themselves to a vast and qualified number of Chinese financiers, incubators and experts, remotely, as well as to build contacts with industrial and financial partners through one-to-one and networking meetings.

The work will be held in English and international participation, due to the health emergency from Covid-19, will be online. There is time until July 31 on the SPICI website for the registration of projects in the ZGC Forum 2021 program. Participation in the 100 Best Industrial Innovations for International Technology Transfer and in the activities of the ZGC Forum is free.

The Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum)
Zhongguancun is a large technology hub in the Haidian district of Beijing, and is considered one of the world's leading centers of innovation where over 9,000 hi-tech companies and nearly half of China's “unicorn startups” are currently hosted. In the Zhongguancun so many government resources are allocated and every day (data from the South China Morning Post in hand) about 80 technological startups are born there. Launched in 2007 by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the Zhongguancun Forum has established itself over the years as an international collaboration platform on the topics of science, innovation and new technologies, promoting the exchange of knowledge, talents and skills, through moments of meeting between some of the main experts, innovative companies, academics and government representatives.

The numbers of the ZGC Forum 2020
Over 50 events including thematic seminars, special initiatives and networking moments, over 40 foreign countries and Chinese provinces involved, 1,300 international experts, 1,300 Chinese experts, over 7,000 innovative projects presented. In the last edition, Italy was represented by about 100 innovative companies that achieved excellent results and some of the solutions presented were included in the prestigious list of "Top Technologies" among those introduced to the works.
